NEA taking the past into the future

Teaching with Primary Sources Roundtable

Co-Chairs:
Blake Spitz and Molly Brown

Purpose:
Over the last five years, archivists have been increasingly called upon to teach with primary sources in their institutions or to provide expertise and support to faculty and students either within or without their institutions, from elementary schools to undergraduate classrooms. The Teaching Primary Sources Roundtable will foster a network of practitioners for those interested in gaining experience and sharing their skills with colleagues regionally.

Goals and Objectives

  • Establish a body of resources (including an updated list of local and regional practitioners, activity sharing, assessment models, etc.) for the community;
  • Advocate for professional development opportunities in this subject area
  • Actively foster a community of practice across the region

To Join:
To get involved, please contact the co-chairs, Blake Spitz and Molly Brown, and request to join the roundtable's e-list.
